As you all know, my Doctor(s) still have me housebound – the longest time I have been a “stay at home” mom, ever. The goal here is overcoming the fatigue that lingers after chemo, and rebuilding my body after the small war it has been through.
It’s been an interesting time for me. First of all, I didn’t realize how much work there is here in this house, and I am only just barely able to do it. 🙂 The children have thrived with having me here, available to them immediately after school. It’s been such an incredible blessing to watch them grow, help with homework without having to multitask like a whirling dervish.
I feel fidgety sometimes. I had months where I really couldn’t go anywhere or do anything because my immune system was compromised. Mind you, the sleep deprivation that children getting the stomach flu back to back leads to has really flattened me. My ability to bounce back is still somewhat limited. But I am rebuilding. I am shocked frequently by how much weaker my body is than it used to be.
In the midst of this, I got my next surgery date. Towards the end of the March, in I go again – minor stuff, but still another trip to the hospital. And more fasting, oh joy. You all know how I feel about not eating.
Just a short note this morning, writing other stuff for posting later.
Blessings to you all, and Happy Friday!!!!
