That was just cumbersome as a title. Once I recovered from the absolutely God-awful summer cold that I succumbed to last week, I hopped right back into my routine.
Lara and I have been incorporating more yoga into our daily fitness, and I have been sprinting up and down the stadium stairs to build up my legs again. Well, and doing jump squats, burpees, planks, and tricep dips in between trips up and down those stairs. I’m starting to see more definition in my upper arms. I’m proud to report that I actually HAVE thighs again, as opposed to those flamingo-like toothpick things. 🙂
I’ve learned that the balance of my nutrition is critical to my recovery: both in the long haul, and in the day-to-day recovery from activity. If I don’t feed myself properly, I get to feeling pretty grim, physically.
Food is medicine. Not that I advocate skipping traditional medicine in favor of only all-natural remedies (obviously), but I definitely agree with the adage, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
Be well, be strong, and blessings to you all…
