Friday Philosophy in the Witching Hour

Good morning! (Did you see that? I’m being more cheerful than I feel – note the exclamation point.)

After the world’s busiest, most physically demanding day, I drifted to sleep by 10. And here we are. I’ve had very vivid nightmares/chase dreams all night, so it was definitely time for a change of pace. 🙂 Haha, see what I did there?

Here are your Friday Philosophy quotes, from the darkness of my living room:

“…we have bad dreams because our brain is trying to protect us…if we can figure out a way to beat the imaginary monsters, then the real ones don’t seem so scary.” ~ Dan Poblocki

“The nightmares arrived like they always did, much like the best player in the opposition when you’ve heard rumors that he might be injured or sick-but there he is, warming up with the rest of them, ready to take the field.” ~ Markus Zusak

“There are very few monsters who merit the fear we have of them.” ~ Andre Gide

“The night is dark, and full of terrors…” ~ George R. R. Martin

Today, I will be slaying my own dragons. This will involve vast quantities of paper, as I truly use my pen as an instrument mightier than any sword. I hope you are all drifting through blissful dreams, and peaceful rest…
