My first week of 41 is off to a good start. One of the resolutions I made for myself was to spend at least one hour per day on my own writing projects.
In the mountain of things I do every day, I added one more thing. 🙂
I’ve designated time at the end of each day – after dinner and dishes and swim practice and work are done. I’ll sit and write. The hour turns into more very easily, so I’m a happier me.
Since that resolution coincides with Nanowrimo, I’m in luck. I’ve gotten 13,000 words this past almost-week, and I may even (finally) have my novel the way I want it. For the record, when I do an entire rewrite I count it as a new project.
Do you Nano? Let’s find each other on there! I know there’s a tool to find author friends, but I freely admit I’ve yet to use it. If you leave me your Nano info in the comments, or tweet it to me, I will connect with you on there and maybe we can help motivate each other.
Happy writing! May every one of you be a November winner!
“Any man who keeps working is not a failure. He may not be a great writer, but if he applies the old-fashioned virtues of hard, constant labor, he’ll eventually make some kind of career for himself as writer.” ~ Ray Bradbury
