Chatter ~ #wwwblogs

There came a moment
just a sense of quiet
when the woman walked
out of the confines
of her own life
and embraced the wild
living within

It was not a fight
or a struggle
but the end to both
that gave the final push
out of the ordinary
and into home

With each step
she shrugged off the trappings
of civility
going barefoot
leaving her hair
to tangle and sway

She melted into the earth
until flowers grew over her
and leaves and branches
tangled with her skin
she became
more fairy than human

Creating her own
mythology
shaping the reality
of her own world
until the life
she had known
faded from view – Caroline A. Slee
